Our Association was founded in 1994 by Brian Stockwell. Our aikido has its roots in the Yoshinkan style, and Shihan Stockwell has a lineage which can be traced back to Shioda Sensei (one of Morihei Ueshiba's original students).
Tenchi Ryu is a 'not for profit' organisation run by volunteers and we are registered as a Community Amateur Sports Club.
We have also been awarded Clubmark status - this is a quality assurance scheme run by Sport England which recognises well-run clubs for junior members.
